Greyhound Adoptions of Florida, Northeast

For years, we have concentrated our adoptions in the central Florida area. In the past year or so, we have networked with groups in the Northeast to help move more of the Florida dogs who have little time left to wait. This has been extremely successful for race dogs and farm dogs alike.

About two years ago, we received a phone call from some very special people regarding a possible visit to Grey Haven. What evolved from this visit was a turning point for all of us. It gave our new friends who come from non-racing states an increased awareness of the number of dogs we deal with in Florida on a daily basis.....it showed them that there are more than just graded off racers that need help. They saw the wonderful dogs on farms that are just as deserving as their racing counterparts. They met the broods....the sweet, older girls who normally have no place to go once their breeding days are over.....they held the small, injured pups....the babies that few people ever hear about.

And most important...it formed a strong bond between a group of strangers who are now the best of friends. So we proudly announce the beginning of
