Bear,

It is so hard to believe how much you look like my Chip. (Pictured at left.) I had so much fun spending time with you when I visited Grey Haven. I think about you all the time and wonder how you are doing and wish I could have brought you home with me. I know you will find the perfect forever home soon. I miss you greytly and send lots of hugs and kisses your way!! (I am sure you can take care of that for me, right Marilyn?!) :-)

Bear sure is a lucky guy! He has two special women who care about him! This sully, quirky boy will wait patiently until the perfect home is found.

Hi Bear,

We met you back in February with our daughter Erin. We're currently in Wisconsin visiting her and her greyhound Chip (who could be your twin). As you know, she fell in love with you during our visit and now the pressure is on because she thinks you would be the PERFECT greyhound to join our family when we get settled in our new Ocala home (with plenty of fenced in area to run with Blue and Skye). What do you think?

We'll be back in Florida in 3 weeks and we'd all love to come and see again. We'll call Marilyn to see if that will be possible. Hugs and kisses from the entire Schmidt family.

Oh my!! What a lovely message to come home to read! (just moved four wonderful girls up north to find that perfect home!) I can't wait to tell our Bear that his long wait for a family of his own may be over!

As soon as you get back, please call. I have a feeling his suitcase will be packed.

Wanted to let everyone know that Mr. Bear as we call him joined our family a week ago tomorrow. Our other greyhound Blue and our collie Skye welcomed him into their home and are getting along very well. Having never had a home before, Mr. Bear is adjusting very well. Everything is new to him and the first few days we had to watch him like a hawk so he wouldn't get himself into any trouble. Mirrors fascinate him and he loves to look out the windows. He's eating very well and the tail is starting to wag more as he gets settled into his new digs. He loves our dog beds and was seen in both his frog and cockroach position yesterday. We're so happy to add him to our family and want to thank Marilyn for all the care and love he received while staying at Grey Haven. Marilyn you know you're always welcome to visit and we know Mr. Bear would love to see you. Those of you who haven't adopted a greyhound yet - WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR???
