Minnie started her heartworm treatment on Monday 7/6....she had one injection on Monday and one on Tuesday. Other than a bit of soreness she is fine! This morning she was bright eyed and looking for breakfast!! Her appetite is wonderful and she has no trouble being kept quiet. (she will have to stay quiet for a few months, until we know for sure her body is free of these nasty heartworms!). She is taking a small bit of pred and some doxy but I believe that's only for a few weeks. Lots of prayers for this very, very special little girl...we want a speedy recovery and long, happy life for our MinnieMoo!!

Minnie you remind me of another little black girlie greyhound that stole my heart. I can't wait to meet you on the 18th. Those icky heartworms will be gone soon and we will play and play!!

Minnie is 10 days into heartworm treatment and doing so very well! We see no physical problems at all and she is being a very good girl about not whining to run with her new friends. We continue to hope for an uneventful recovery! Our vet listened to her heart and lungs and was very, very pleased!

The big problem for me is to not get too attached to this amazing, tiny little girl!! :-)
