Roper suffered a severe break in a hind leg while racing. He had his leg removed and spent time rehabilitating at Grey Haven as he learned to get around on three legs. He was initially fostered by Jaimie Mann. Proving that no one can resist his positive demeanor and perfect house manners, Roper was adopted by Jaimie shortly after his arrival in his foster home!

Black female, born May 1997
Susie came to us right off the farm where she has spent many years being a brood mom.  Someone forgot to tell her that she is 11 years old! She is very active and has no trouble keeping up with the youngsters.  She has an old broken wrist so her foot is a bit crooked but it sure doesn't slow her down any.

Red brindle female, born August 2006
This little brindle girl is just turning two and was never trained to race.  She is very puppy like and had never been on a leash or in a kennel or a car or worn a collar until she came here.  She is extremely smart and learned quickly.  She gets along with all the other dogs and spends most of her time trying to entice each dog to run and play.  She needs the company of other dogs and a fenced yard to run off all that excess energy!
